Animation
This section includes all the animated work I created during my time at Seneca Polytechnic and beyond. Rather than being presented in gallery format, I decided to place it in slideshow, for easier viewing.
A gif from summer 2023 of an animated Google Doodle assignment from Seneca Polytechnic. A Splatoon themed doodle, it features splatters of mutlicoloured ink making out the Google logo and an octoling swimming across.
A gif from july 2023 featuring me (WanderAxolArts) celebrating my 21st birthday. The gif features a 'click here' button which, upon pressing, would activate an animation of a birthday banner rolling out and showering a cartoon version of me in balloon, blowing out birthday candles and laughing.
This gif from summer 2023 was part of a series of two where we had to animate two kinds of gifs: one displaying some kind of action or emotion and another with a static pose but one section is animated. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was only able to complete one of the two gifs. This completed gif is of Axol sneezing and sniffling with a runny nose- a representation of what I go through with seasonal allergies.
This animated gif from spring of 2022 was from my time in art fundamentals, where we had to make some kind of animation for our final project. I went with Axol waving to the viewer with a welcome sign above him. This was one of Axol's earliest designs, wearing a beaten up grey tank top and black pants.
Motion Graphics
This section contains all the motion graphic work I did during my time at Seneca Polytechnic and beyond
A motion graphic video of an illustration reel created in summer of 2023. This was part of an assignment to test out the motion graphic skills we learned in my interactive illustration class thus far, and features some of my artworks from 2022-2023. The text at the beginning of the video states: “Disk Located” as the sounds of a disc being inserted into a media player plays. After that, there is a loading screen for a few seconds before displaying “Now Playing: WanderAxolArts’ Illustration Reel 2023”. The first slide showcases an early design of Axol with a drop shadow behind him; the words ‘Character Design’ display next to him. After that, there are two portraits that come from the left and right; the left one says ‘Illustrated’ at the top, while the right has ‘Portraits’ at the bottom. It ends with a short animation of Axol bobbing his head to the music with a ‘Thanks for Watching’ message to this left, alongside my various social media accounts from the time.
